Hua Hin is a famous beach resort town in Thailand, in the northern part of Peninsular Malaysia, about 200 km south of Bangkok. It has a population of 84,883 in an area of 911 sq km, and is one of eight districts (Amphoe), Prachuap Khiri Khan Province.
Hua Hin Thailand is closely associated with royalty. Only 25 miles apart, Hua Hin in Prachuap Khiri Khan province enjoy the wealth of satellite attractions, prominent among them are national parks and historic cities.
Hua Hin Town
Hua Hin Town is on the coast of Hua Hin District. With an area of approximately 86.36 km ², the town has 50,169 inhabitants. This is a popular beach holiday resort for the citizens of Bangkok. Railway Hotel, now more commonly known as the Hotel Sofitel, is a famous old building used as a Hotel Phnom Phen in the film “The Killing Fields”.
Attraction
Hat Hua Hin Beach extends about five miles south from a rocky promontory until Kao Takiap, a southern headland where Buddhist temples clinging to the cliffs.
Hua Hin Railway Station is the most beautiful train stations of Thailand. Wooden buildings that used to be a royal pavilion in Sanamchan Palace, Nakhon Pathom province. It was rebuilt in Hua Hin in 1968.
Market Street night market popular shopping allows people the opportunity to shop, original-style seafood cooked on the spot and watch the local people’s lifestyles.
Khao Takiap this hill, 4 miles from the town of Hua Hin, supporting Buddhist temples and offer views of the commander of the resort, especially in the morning.
Khao Hin Lek Fai district located 3 kilometers west of Hua Hin, Khao Hin Lek Fai or Flint Mountain is 162 meters. At the top of the mountain, there are public parks and beautiful places from where the views of Hua Hin and the surrounding visible.
13 kilometers south of Khao Tao Hua Hin, there are 1 – kilometer branch road on the left which leads to a place called Hat Sai Noi beach two and Hat Sai Yai. Khao Tao trditional is a fishing village which also offers spectacular temples.
Namtok Pa La-u This scenic waterfall 11-tier, about 60 kilometers west of Hua Hin, situated in the verdant forest for a year in which the various species of birds and butterflies are found, especially in the morning.
Spirit House Brassiere Beach, according to legend, was built to appease the spirit of a fisherman’s daughter who had her breasts torn to pieces and fell into the sea. He was killed because he was desired by the people too much. To this day, locals still hanging bras to house the spirit, but now they just pray for good luck.
Wat Huay Mongkol is home to a monk Luang Pu Thuat very popular because he’s famous ‘miracle’. Commissioned by the Queen of Thailand, Wat Huay Mongkol houses the largest statue of Luang Phor Thuat in Thailand in a park-like setting. 10. Pradiphat Suan Son Beach, 8 km south of Hua Hin, is a peaceful location which is owned by Army Welfare Office.
Hua Hin Hills Vineyard is the only vineyard in this area is located 45 minutes from downtown. It offers spectacular views, restaurants and wine tasting at a local Monsoon Valley Wines.
Activity
Popular activities in Hua Hin include: fishing, eco-cruising, kite-boarding, fitness, martial arts, camping elephants, Thai massage, spa, cooking courses, trekking, walking, cycling, diving, snorkeling, arts, water sports, horse-riding and golf.
Golf in particular became very popular, with Hua Hin is increasingly being recognized as one of the main objectives of Thailand to play golf. The city hosted the first Asian tour event in 2009 at Black Mountain recently, while the other first-class program in easy reach including Royal Hua Hin, Banyan, Palm Hills, Majestic Creek, Lake View and Springfield. There are several driving ranges.

Shopping
Hua Hin is a popular place for shopping, including craft contemporary art, hand printed cotton fabrics, silk fabrics silk weaving, embroidery, basket making, pottery, wood carving, gemstone and jewelry (including sapphire and ruby). There is also a large shopping center called Village Market
Local Products
The most famous local product of Hua Hin is Khommaphat printed cotton that can be made into a shirt, handkerchief, wraps, and even an elephant or a fish, as well as decorative pieces such as pillows, bags and fans. Other local products including hand woven cotton cloth Hua Hin and traditional style.
Nightlife
foreign-oriented nightlife Most centered on Soi Soi Bintabaht and Selakam, where many typical beer bar found. There is also a regular discos, karaoke bars, live music venues, bars hotels and even a woman-child cabaret, the Blue Angels. Step nightlife is much slower than in big cities west oriented Pattaya and Patong town, while the distance to the Royal Palace means that there are no go-go bars.
